A Perfect Pair

According tot he famous Harrods Department Store (www.harrods.com), milk chocolate’s best friend is a generous glass of silky, smoky Highland Single Malt Whisky. I will try this today and report back to you.

If whisky isn’t your thing, try the combination of some Rosé champagne with dark chocolate (preferably 70% or more).

Steering away from the alcohol, a nice cup of Lapsang Souchong or smoky Earl Grey goes extremely well with chocolate-covered dates. You can even make these yourself.

Get some really ripe, plump medjool dates (preferably from your middle-eastern store), remove the pit and fill them with nuts, marzipan or confit orange zeste. Melt some white or milk chocolate and dip the dates into the molten chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set on some greaseproof paper.

We will be reporting on some more Perfect Pairs during the next couple of weeks. Your ideas are most welcome. Do share your perfect pairs with us and we will include them in our posts.
