In the UAE, it might feel as though our lives are on pause at the moment but now can be an ideal time for some pampering.

Make the house look extra cozy by lighting candles and order some nice new decorative items online (plenty of offers/sale items to choose from during Ramadan).
Get creative by preparing your own beauty treatments. You can find plenty of recipes online; ingredients can be found in your kitchen cabinet or purchased from the local pharmacy.

Make your own lip scrub by combining 4 tablespoons granulated sugar with 2 tablespoons light oil and ½ teaspoon rosewater. Mix all the ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Spoon the mixture in a nice container. Rub the mixture on lips in circular motions and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Store the remaining mixture in the fridge and use within 2 weeks.
A fragrant body scrub can be made with 1 cup granulated sugar, 6 tablespoons melted coconut oil, 6 drops lavender essential oil and 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers. Mix everything and keep in a cool place for up to one month. Rub gently onto your skin, rinse off in the bath or shower.

Spoil your feet with a foot mask. Mix together a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of cocoa butter, and the contents of three vitamin E capsules. After a shower or bath, massage the mask into your feet, cover with socks and leave overnight. The next morning, rinse with warm water. Your feet will feel silky smooth and moisturized!
Are you managing to work out at home? There are plenty of exercise apps to choose from. Don’t forget to warm up to prepare your body for a workout. If a work-out isn’t your thing, try to go for a short walk every day.
